Massive SpaceX IPO Puts Global Investor Appetite to the Test

Plans for the initial public offering (IPO) of space giant SpaceX are increasingly reflecting the scale of its ambitions. The company, owned by Elon Musk, is reportedly working with at least 21 banks on what is projected to become one of the largest IPOs in global capital market history. This move underscores that the internally coded Project Apex is far more than a typical stock listing. The IPO, targeted for launch in June, is expected to push SpaceX’s valuation to around US$1.75 trillion—placing it among the world’s largest technology companies. According to Reuters, leading banks such as Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citigroup will act as primary bookrunners, overseeing the offering and coordinating share distribution across various investor segments, while additional banks will take on smaller supporting roles.

Trump Signals Potential NATO Exit as Tensions with Allies Rise

Tensions between the United States and its NATO allies have escalated after former President Donald Trump said he is considering withdrawing the U.S. from the military alliance. His remarks were reportedly driven by frustration over several European countries refusing to deploy naval forces to help lift the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. Established in 1949, NATO consists of European nations, the United States, and Canada, and has long served as a cornerstone of Western security, originally formed to counter the Soviet Union. Trump’s statement, delivered on Wednesday (April 1, 2026) and reported by Reuters, came just hours after U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declined to reaffirm America’s commitment to NATO’s principle of collective defense, a key foundation of the alliance. In an interview with the UK’s Daily Telegraph, Trump criticized NATO, saying he had never been impressed by the alliance and describing it as a “paper tiger,” adding that Russian President Vladimir Putin likely shares the same view.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: Washington Sees the Finish Line of the Iran War

Marco Rubio stated that Washington can already envision an eventual end to the ongoing conflict with Iran, which has now entered its fifth week, while also noting that the United States may need to reassess its relationship with NATO after the war. Speaking on Hannity on Fox News Channel, Rubio emphasized that although the conclusion is not imminent, it is increasingly within sight. The conflict began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, prompting Tehran to retaliate with attacks targeting Israel and Gulf nations hosting U.S. military bases. The joint U.S.-Israeli operations in Iran, along with Israeli strikes in Lebanon, have resulted in thousands of casualties and displaced millions of civilians, while also driving up global oil prices and unsettling financial markets. Rubio added that indirect communications between Washington and Tehran are ongoing, with messages being exchanged and discussions taking place. He also indicated that there is a possibility of a direct meeting between the two sides at some point in the future.
